Hi Paul,I'm rather sure that it's the Operation Tiger Memorial at Torcross, Devon. Thus it's a Sherman M4A1 DD I presume.CheersStefan
M4 Sherman Late with HVSS and cast hull. 76mm gun.Operation Tiger, somewhere in Dorset England?
So an M4A1 Sherman as the other have said. Horizontal suspension system, cast hull and 76 mm M1 gun. Don't know anything else.
Torcross memorial - Sherman DD
M4 Sherman, 76mm gun, I couldn't tell you much else.
Nice - I like the look of the cast hull over the welded ones.
Now don't you both look wonderful! Lovely Sherman.
I like to think of us as two veterans with a few miles under the treads but nevertheless still pleasing to the eye and wrathful when angry :-)
M4 Sherman with 76mm. Location: tank Paul took from prom
We were very happy together too :-)
OK, I got this one. It's a Sherman M4A1 with 76mm gun and HVSS suspension, which I think makes it a M4A1E8/M4A1(76)W HVSS. Although it commemorates the disaster at Shepton Sands during training for D-day it's actually at New Bedford in the US.
Correctamundo - its about 30kms from where I live actually
Late model sherman.
M4A1 Sherman with long barreled 76mm gun
