DeleteThe WW1 CoC sounds great! I don't RPG anymore either but I still have a substantial collection of materials, much of which I use to generate skirmish scenarios.
CoC can be transplanted pretty much anywhere. I have used it in Dark Ages gaming, and I remember once playing Traveller and we came across a bunch of Cthulhu cultists on an asteroid mining base!
