Wonderfully realistic terrain, and easy to store! I might try to use the left over teddy bear fur from my thatched huts. I'm sure its a lot trickier to paint than it appears...

Wow...this is the best fur terrain I've seen. the colors have been masterfully worked into the fur. Beautiful effect.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Fantastic effects.
ReplyDeleteHi Paul, were would you get the mats from? I have searched online and there are a lot of choices, not sure which is the best.
ReplyDeleteElladan's work is great. There are pictures on his homepage which are just incredible. I've been thinking of fur terrain since I saw the pictures of his 20mm terrain but didn't have the courage to try it...
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to see pictures of your attempts.
Good luck!
Cheers

Great idea - but my 6mm boys will get lost in there!
ReplyDeleteSuperb!
ReplyDeleteNow that is seriously impressive!
ReplyDeleteI have Teddy bear fur and used it, but didn't model it as nice as that. Seeing this tells me I need to go back and do a much better job! Thanks for the tip! Some other thoughts I have on it....
ReplyDeleteUpside:
-It looks fantastic! Probably the best looking terrain you can have once done.
-Storage pretty easy.
-Very flexible.
Downside:
-Expensive
-It's a lot of work to get it to look that good.
-One must do many segments to allow for different road and river directions and field placements.
If you have the time and money I'd say go for it and be the envy of your player group!:-)
