Sketch Effect |
Inspired by the lovely artwork in my new Battlefront Blitzkrieg rulebook, I've been playing about with a free online photo manipulation tool, modifying one of my favourite pics which is an M60 Patton tank sitting on high ground and dominating my Vietnam battlefield.
These are some of my favourite ones and I thought you guys might be interested. This is the tool I used:

Anyone else found some good effects or tools to play with their model pics?

I like just playing with the images in the google editor. Did some space hulk and deadzone one's late last year and in March this year from Canadian Open.

DeleteI couldn't see them

DeleteI've used this site a couple of times http://apps.pixlr.com/editor/
ReplyDeleteThere are some useful effects under "adjustments" and "filters"
Thanks for the tip Tamsin, I'll check it out!

Several years ago I was lucky enough to score a free copy of Photoshop Elements which has some great filter effects in it. But I rarely use them on my blog pictures; it takes me long enough to do the basic brightness/contract/colour adjustments on them, plus resizing them so that they don't count against Google's storage limits. They sometimes get used on my 'real' photos though :)
ReplyDeleteCan be a bit of fun adjusting pics. Can add a bit more atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteExcellent stuff. I'll have to give this a go myself.
ReplyDeleteGrunge works for me, got a couple of gladiators I can do it on hahahah.
ReplyDeletesketch effect is def a favorite - looks almost like one of those Jodie Harmon sketches in "Armor" magazine!!!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the art in the BG Rulebooks too
DeleteSome pretty cool effects, I might try this as well! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI tend to use Snapseed, but wouldn't mind finding one for my regular computation device (snapseed's good on the iPhone...)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, I'll check Snapped out!
