A very distinctive AFV...

  1. M3 Grant! If we believe the name, maybe this is the one Monty used as a command tank, in which case surely it is at the IWM or Bovington... I dodn't remember it at the IWM, so I'm saying Bovington.

  2. As Dux says it is an M3 Grant and it is Monty's on display at Imperial War Museum.

  3. It's a British M3 Grant since it's got the "rounded cast turret. The US version, the M3 Lee, has a more angular riveted turret. The Russians also used M3's but had a rather colorful name for them - A Coffin for Seven Brothers.

I'm pretty sure the particular vehicle is located somewhere on the Northern Hemisphere, plant earth

  4. M3A5, called the Grant by the Brits. This one is located in storage at Duxford currently, though it used to be at the Imperial War Museum in London.

  5. M3 for sure. Grant, I think - it's hard for me to tell the turrets apart from that angle.

A classic WTF tank design - as a kid, I loved these kinds. More guns means more shooting!

  6. M3 Grant. This was at the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth London. I believe it was moved to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford Cambridge UK. This was General Bernard Law Montgomery (later Field Marshall) command tank at one point in the North African campaign.
