Forbidden Thirsts

Saw this pop up at RPGNow and thought I would share it!

It's tiki! It's eldritch! It's THE TIKINOMICON:
13 COCKTAIL RECIPES TO DRIVE YOU MAD!

At the end of a long day of struggling to save the sane and orderly universe from gibbering cosmic evil, you could probably use a good drink. Well, we don't have recipes for those, but if an evil drink will do, then this is the book for you.

Lavishly illustrated and filled with nightmarish fun, THE TIKINOMICON is a swanky tiki cocktail recipe book that will make you scream for more. Mix up a few Daemon Sultans for the investigators, or share a fiery Curwen Street Special in a scorpion bowl. You'll see the fourth dimension in no time!

"Ph'n glui mglwnafh Tikinomicon R'lyeh waghnagl ftaghn." -- The Key and Guardian of the Gate
"I don't drink." -- H.P. Lovecraft

And it that doesn't tickle your fancy, how about a tall, foaming glass of Mythos Lager?

  1. "That is not dead which can eternal lie"...also known as the hangover. So, how to incorporate cocktails from beyond as an integral part of a Strange Aeons game?

    1. I was thinking that as players earn "map pieces" in their adventures they could be given pages from the book (I call it the "Boozenomicon") and then have to sample the resulting beverage chanting R'lyeh cthulhu fhtagn!

  4. I am usually a real ale man, give me a pint of Oscar Wilde Mild any day but I couldn't resist the lure and temptation of picking up a bottle of Mythos. Perhaps it was the potential promise of the dark powers that lurk within, or maybe it was the non-euclidean geometry of the bottle. Or something. Either way I grabbed a bottle and it now sits in the fridge, awaiting a time when the 'stars are right' or perhaps when I am a bit thirsty...
