I've always wanted to do some statues in the archetypal green that you see for 18th century (ish) statues, but have never found a technique that works. This one may give me the impetus to give it another shot.

ReplyDeleteI found a Verdigris craft paint some time ago. It is used by craft painters to colour plastic or resin pieces. Unfortunately I had it for so long that it went off and there was a brown coloured liquid and a solid green mush at the bottom of the pot.
ReplyDeleteI therefore mixed up a brown wash and a then a dark green acrylic paint with some white added. I think it worked out OK.
