Soviets Victorious, German tide stemmed

News from the Front indicates that Comrade-Marshall James has smashed the German spearhead causing much damage to the Motherland. They have been thrown back wth heavy casualties and many villiages (and lovely Soviet ladies) have been liberated - urrah Stalino!

Comrade Jame's recent tactical victories have reversed his initial setbacks to pull off a campaign draw overall - well done mate, cheers!

Tourney convened

Sir Lad just narrowly secured a five event Victory at a tourney using GMT's Ivanhoe rules. Sir Lass (appalled by the way that Princesses arent allowed to enter the Tourney...) respectably came in with three event victories.

And yes, there was plenty of "Its only a flesh wound" comments thrown about after recently introducing the kids to Monty Python's Holy Grail.!

Battlelore Master

I have been rediscovering my not very played set of Battlelore, which I bought some time ago. In fact, I have just gotten some of the Days of Wonder supplements which I have always been interested in, but havent gotten around to getting (Call to Arms, Hundred Years War, and Goblin Skimishers).

Rumours abound of new releases by Battlelore's new owners, Fantasy Flight Games, including the long awaitied "Heroes" expansion for adding heroic figures to your units. Looking forward to that one!
